Book Cover Design

The challenge was to design a cohesive visual identity for a true crime series by Phoebe Judge, translating her signature narrative tone into a unified book collection. I aimed to elevate mundane imagery into haunting symbols, ensuring the textures felt as atmospheric and nuanced as the stories themselves.

This section highlights my investigative process, where I translated story-specific research into initial visual concepts. By sketching through themes for The Nurse, The Procedure, and The Tylenol Murders, I was able to isolate the most impactful imagery before moving into the medium exploration phase.

I utilized physical mediums to explore textures and color palettes, ensuring the three designs felt like a cohesive collection. This analog stage allowed me to visualize how ordinary objects could be transformed to evoke the underlying darkness of each true crime narrative.
